Wedding of Phenice and Juan-Pierre – Celebrating their Love Story at Casablanca Manor

When you get to be part of a beautifully colourful styled wedding and it turns into a real surprise wedding, how blessed can one be? Thank you to Lynn and Kobus for all your hard working in creating a dream come true for this gorgeous couple!

A Styled Shoot turned into a “Surprise” Real Wedding (a dream come true)
“No matter how long the Winter, Spring is sure to follow”

The Pandemic has had a major impact on couples not only logistically with constantly changing plans, but also emotionally. Dreaming of their big day, but not knowing what the future holds with regards to regulations and lockdowns, can be very stressful.

This was the basis of why this team of creatives wanted to do a bright, happy, fun and colourful shoot to celebrate “Spring”, and to share with couples a message of hope that “Winter may be long, but Spring is sure to follow”. Dreams do come true – have faith, no matter how hard it is.

Kobus and Lynn, from Casablanca Manor, got to hear of the plight of the models, Phenice and Juan Pierre, chosen for this colourful styled shoot, and were inspired to do something special for them. Susan de Klerk, from A Royal Affair Décor and Events, had got to know Phenice well over a period of months, as she was Susan’s nail technician. She had heard Phenice’s story of how they always dreamed of their wedding day, but because of financial strain and the Pandemic, it just remained a dream.

The deciding factor was a dream that woke up Kobus, 2am in the morning, two days before the shoot, and the decision was made to make their fairytale come true. Kobus quickly made arrangements, and managed to get hold of a minister, Ds Louw van der Linde who drove through from Secunda to do the ceremony.

The rest of the team of creative suppliers with hearts of gold, enthusiastically joined in, and Phenice and Juan Pierre, to their surprise, were able to have their special day. Their beautiful, handsome little 3-year old boy was used as an official ring bearer for the real wedding!

It was such a blessing to be able to put together not just a styled shoot, but a surprise real wedding for a very special couple, and to help make their dream come true. From the whole team of creatives, thank you Phenice and Juan Pierre that we could be part of your special day.
