If you are the type of couple who delight in the African bush with all its splendorous wildlife and big open skies, then the Hayward’s Weekend Safari Wedding is a truly unique African bushveld tented wedding reception venue for you.

This exclusive-use mobile tented venue can be set up ANYWHERE within southern Africa that you may require it, a unique safari venue with all the bells and whistles.

For a more economical option, our Five Star rated tented camp in Boekenhoutskloof, Bobbejaansberg Private Nature Reserve (a mere 23 km north east of Pretoria) is an ideal setting for your big or small wedding reception.   We cater for weekend wedding groups of minimum 40 (forty) to maximum 150 (one hundred and fifty) guests seated for elaborate five to eight course dining affairs.  Each of the hundred tented bedrooms has its own shower and toilet.

Hayward’s is a truly authentic Five Star Out of Africa tented camp renowned internationally for its superb attention to detail.  Totally flexible by nature ensuring you get the unique wedding you have always dreamed of.  No two events are ever the same as we decorate and serve up weddings in the most exotic African safari way.

The Bridal Party get free use of the Hayward’s Safari House which is a fully furnished three bedroomed bush villa adjoining the safari camp site.  Here the bridal party can prepare the bride and her bridesmaids on Friday and Saturday in privacy and comfort before being transported elegantly in the two old 1942 Chevrolet trucks to the lakeside or tented wedding reception, complete with spear carrying warriors and an entourage of musicians and butlers.  The Bridegroom and his party are allocated a tented village on the opposite side of the camp where they can prepare themselves for the wedding the following day.

The entire weekend wedding is a highly-choreographed event and is expertly run by our resident wedding co-ordinators on site under the watchful eye of Mr Peter Hayward (Owner and Camp Commander) and Celia du Preez (General Manager) at no extra charge.

Our elaborate Themed Décor is in the tradition of the various safaris undertaken over the ages and we offer bridal parties unique ways to keep the budgets in check when it comes to all the hidden costs of weddings.
