Your Brand is more than a headshot, trademark or a stunning logo: It is how you present yourself online and offline to potential clients and customers.
Apart from being a photographer, I own an Advertising Agency where we specialise in branding as part of our services while creating your brand story is your own personalised branding photo session. You are your brand, and you need to look like you own the industry!
Maureen wrote this about this amazing lady – such an inspirational story:
Today, I have the pleasure of sharing the inspiring story of Annalize – a woman who demonstrated remarkable resilience and tenacity in the face of adversity. Despite facing numerous obstacles, she never gave up on her dream and pursued it with a truly admirable passion.
She spent 25 years working as a bookkeeper, but deep down, she always knew she was meant to be an actress. At age 13, she landed her first leading role in the school’s operetta, and her passion for performance never died. But life happened, and she fell pregnant while studying drama. Her acting dreams were put on hold as she had to work full-time to make ends meet. Fast forward to 2017, and Annalize was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, with survival rates looking bleak.
For two years, she battled through intense chemo and operations that robbed her of her quality of life, but finally, she was able to win the battle against cancer. And when life gave her a second chance, she was determined to make the most of it.
She quit her bookkeeping job and enrolled in Brumilda van Rensburg acting school in 2021. After lots of hard work, unfamiliar territory, and learning an entirely new skill set, she landed her first audition and role in “Dat die dak lig” in 2022.
Thespians welcomed her with open arms in December 2022. I asked her who her role models were in the acting world, and she said without hesitation that Kate Blanchett and Colin Murphy were her idols.
Annalize knows that stories have the power to inspire, help, and give people hope, and she believes that acting is the perfect way to make a difference in the world. She’s halfway through her life and excited about what’s next. When you’ve faced something as challenging as cancer, you realise that time is precious, and you can’t let limiting beliefs hold you back.
Annalize’s story is a testament to the fact that you’re never too old to chase your dreams. So, if you’re feeling stuck in a job you hate, remember Annalize’s story and ask yourself what you’re genuinely passionate about. Life is too short to settle for less than you deserve. So get out there, and chase those dreams!
Who knows? One day, you’ll be inspiring others with your own incredible story.
